Dr. Robert Ferran was born and
raised in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Veterinary
School in 1983 he practiced in New York before leaving for
Florida with his family in 1989. Having been director and
chief practitioner of the Miami Beach Animal Hospital for
nine years he was able to relocate and start his new practice,
Ludlam-Dixie Animal Clinic, with an emphasis on conventional/complementary
veterinary medicine. After completing intensive studies and
graduating from human acupuncture school (Acupuncture Physician
Program), with an emphasis on Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM), and Herbology, Dr. Ferran then went on to
become certified in veterinary acupuncture thru the International
Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). Dr. Ferran is
also a Member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical
Association ( AHVMA) and The American Association
of Veterinary Acupuncture ( AAVA). Dr. Robert
Ferran is currently completing studies for certification as
a registered Bach Flower Practitioner.

Jeff Toll VMD,DACVIM

Dr. Jeff Toll graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. After 5 years in general
practice, Dr. Toll completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Cornell University,
becoming board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in
1998. He served one year at Cornell University as a Lecturer in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Toll
was then employed at the Animal Medical Center in Cooper City, Florida from 1998 to 2007,
where he practiced veterinary internal medicine, supervised canine and feline blood donor
programs, established the first veterinary hemodialysis service in Florida, performed clinical
research, authored numerous scientific publications, and trained interns and residents. Dr. Toll is
a member of the ACVIM Board of Regents and past president of the ACVIM Foundation.
Dr. Toll lives in Miami Beach with his wife Julie, Kelly the Corgi, and somewhere between 3 and
10 cats, depending on the day and who is asking.
